How To Use a Cast Iron Tea Pot

• Rinse your cast iron tea pot with water before you use it for the first time.
• Fill it with hot water and let it sit for Five minutes.
• Discard the hot water.  Add your tea leaves, then add water at the appropriate brewing temperature.
• Once the tea has infused, remove the infuser.
• Handle your cast iron with care and place it on a trivet to avoid burning your serving surface.
• Serve your tea and enjoy!

Recommended Guidelines for Care and Use

• Use the cast iron tea pot to brew tea and is suitable as a stove-top kettle. 
• Do not leave tea standing in the tea pot for a long period of time. Dry fully before storing. 
• Do not wash the cast iron tea pot with abrasive pads or use harsh detergents or soaps. Simply rinse it with plain water and wipe it dry after each use. In Japan the natural mineral layer buildup inside a tea pot is considered to be good for the health and helps to prevent rust from forming inside. 
• Do not expose your tea pot to salt or oil.
